USY is USCJ’s youth group for Conservative Jewish teens across North America. For more than 60 years, USY has taught young Jews the values and skills they need
to become exceptional leaders in their religious and secular communities. USY empowers youth to develop friendships, leadership skills, a sense of belonging to the Jewish People, and a commitment to inspired Jewish living through meaningful and fun experiences rooted in Conservative Judaism’s approach to learning, spiritual expression, and social responsibility. The Eastern Canadian Region of USY (ECRUSY), serving grades 6-8 with Kadima and 9-12 with USY, offers programming through chapters at USCJ synagogues in Greater Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Hamilton, St. Catherines, Kingston and London as well as at regional and international programs.
USY is the North American teen engagement program of the USCJ. USY offers year-round social, community service and Israel engagement programming for teens in grades 9-12, as well as summer travel experiences. USY teens benefit from meaningful and immersive Jewish experiences that help them integrate Jewish values and rituals into their lives.
Kadima, (meaning Forward in Hebrew) is the programming group for grades 6-8. It has its own regional and chapter program schedule with the programs being social based which tie in Judaism, environmentalism, social activism and tzedakah.
The organization provides opportunities for teens to immerse themselves in Jewish and social activities while forming friendships that will last a lifetime!
