The Eastern Canadian Region of United Synagogue Youth (ECRUSY), serving grades 6-8 with Kadima and 9-12 with USY, is the youth arm of the Conservative Movement, affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. ECRUSY – the Eastern Canada Region of USY – offers programming through chapters at USCJ synagogues in Greater Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Hamilton, and London as well as at regional and international programs.
United Synagogue Youth (USY) is the North American teen engagement program of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. USY offers year-round social, community service and Israel engagement programming for teens in grades 9-12, as well as summer travel experiences. USY teens benefit from meaningful and immersive Jewish experiences that help them integrate Jewish values and rituals into their lives.
Kadima, (meaning Forward in Hebrew) is the programming group for grades 6-8. It has its own regional and chapter program schedule with the programs being social based which tie in Judaism, environmentalism, social activism and tzedakah.
The organization provides opportunities for teens to immerse themselves in Jewish and social activities while forming friendships that will last a lifetime!
